Message From CEO/Founder
What a blessing it is to serve our nation’s Veterans and Law Enforcement. I have had the honor of working with our Veterans for 18 years now. Not a day goes by when I don’t wish I could do more for those who have honorably served this nation. I’ve had a passion and love for our country since a very young age. Both of my grandfathers served during WWII, my beloved Uncle, a United States Marine served bravely in Vietnam, my father served in the Navy, my father-in-law served in the Army, and my youngest son is an Infantry Marine Corps Veteran.
Hearing the National Anthem will forever bring a tear of pride to my eyes. Working with our Veterans that struggle with Post Traumatic Stress has been my greatest passion. Most people refer to it as “PTSD” - Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I prefer to call it - “PTSI”, Post Traumatic Stress Injury. I believe that Post Traumatic Stress is a Mental Injury, NOT a Mental Illness or a disorder.
Many of our Veterans struggle with the transition back to civilian life, and the Honor and Courage Foundation is here to help. We are committed to reducing the Veteran suicide rate to ZERO.
When putting our Honor and Courage Board of Directors together, I took great consideration upon those who would serve this foundation with knowledge and passion for our Active Duty Military, Veterans, and Law Enforcement. I’m pleased to announce that the vast majority of our board has served in the military, was a Police Officer, or is a Gold Star Parent. Each member of our board is committed to serving our wounded, injured, and ill Service Members and Veterans.
Here at the Honor and Courage Foundation, we are prepared to support and assist the Veteran with PTSI in any way possible. Through our SGB Program (Stellate Ganglion Block), our Crisis/Talk line, our Special Grants Program, and our Mentorship Program. If we can’t assist you, we will find someone that can.
Through the Honor and Courage Foundation, it is our goal to bring hope, and healing to Veterans and their families suffering from the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Injury.
