Yael Israel
Board Member
Yael is a Clinical Social Worker & graduate of the University of Southern California School of Social Work (MSW) with a concentration in Clinical Health and a sub concentration in Military & Veteran Services. Areas of focus are in Traumatic Brain Injury & Concussion, Post Traumatic Stress, Trauma, Post Partum Depression & Anxiety, Addiction, Chronic Illness, Anxiety, Transition, Pain Management, Sleep Hygiene, Self Harm, Suicidality, Rehabilitation and Recovery.
Yael currently serves on The Executive Committee on the Board of the Brain Injury Association of Virginia. She is a preferred provider with the Center of Missing and Exploited Children, as well as Reset 180, an organization supporting Human Trafficking Survivors and their families. Yael is the founder of Treats for Our Troops, established in 2007 to support deployed troops and wounded veterans. She is also an active member of Team Rubicon.
Attuned in USUI/Tibetan Reiki Ryoho at the Master Level, Yael integrates Therapeutic Reiki (Threiki TM) into her practice at the Falls Church Wellness Center.
Additionally, Yael is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR) for grief and trauma and Alpha Stim for anxiety and pain management.
